    Description

    Vintage Leather & Heavy Web Swiss Climbing Belt. Heavy web construction with leather reinforcements and metal buckles. The overall length of the belt is 42 inches, and it is 4 1/2 inches wide. It is secured by three smaller belts and buckles, and features a large metal fitting in the center for a rope or carabiner. There are some stains on the belt. It is in overall good condition. Sold as a collectible and safety/performance is not guaranteed for climbing use.
    Marked "H. Brauchi Kernenried Sattler" with "73" "100" and the Swiss national emblem of a shield with a cross inside it. H. Brauchi is the official saddle maker and leather worker to Kernenried, an administrative district of Emmental in the canton of Bern. Exact age of this item is unknown.
