    or rip everything out just to keep riding it? Don't let anyone tell you your Big Dog electrical system is trash or dangerous because it isn't. Like any system if you install it and maintain it correctly it will take care of you.
    This is an easy installation and does not require rethinking everything in your system to try and band aid it in. All Big Dog owners must replace their OEM Charging System immediately with a CompUFire or Cycle Electric system if you have suffered any burned or damaged electronic components as well as to maintain the 2 year warranty included with this purchase. Big Dog used a proprietary charging system from 04 on and it has been the leading cause of damaged electronic components.
    Remove your old EHC, mount you new EHC, plug your bikes two d-sub connectors in and gently tighten down the screws.
    Thats it!
    Go out and ride.
    Electronik has made many improvements to the EHC to prevent many of the issues the OEM BD EHCs had. They have stripped out all the Service/Warranty bloat that lived in the OEM BD EHC which means fewer parts fewer potential issues, created a new proprietary stainless skeleton that the connectors are anchored to, as opposed to hanging off the potted board the way the OEM EHCs were made. The Electronik EHC now has Bluetooth accessibility, using the optional Bluetooth Module, to allow for remote troubleshooting and battery voltage information.

    This unit will work in place of the late model BD EHCs with the reverse D-Sub connectors. If your connectors fit into your existing EHC's connectors then you are good to go. Otherwise you will have to send your old EHC to WSW so we can change out the D-Sub shells for you. There is no extra charge for this service.
    Note: If you have a Big Dog factory air ride system then you will have to put in an alternate switch to control the air ride.
