    Description

This is an old knife, inexpensive at the time, typical of those employed by cowboys on both sides of the Mexico/USA border in the early 20th century.  Blade shows use with spine being slightly mushroomed from being driven with a mallet in splitting wood or bone.  One of the horn handle rings has broken out at some time and been replaced with epoxy.  The handguard is made of oak wood and also seems to be a replacement.  Fancy leather sheath has shrunken slightly as is common with age, and is worn as seen.
