Up for sale is this Exceptionally RARE Antique 1914 Wisconsin MOTORCYCLE REGISTRATION CARD (only) #7793 for a POPE MOTORCYCLE, Serial Number 2666, with 7 Horse Power Engine from Oct 3, 1914 for Vernon O. Davis of Beloit, Wis.

f you want "any old" motorcycle registration card, you can find them easily enough elsewhere, HOWEVER
if you want a motorcycle registration card FOR a POPE MOTORCYCLE
from ANY state, good luck finding another one -- ANYWHERE -- at any price!!! Since so few Pope Motorcycles were made and only a fraction of those are still extant today, I can't even imagine how much rarer the PAPER registration card is for a Pope Motorcycle, much less one that is in EXCELLENT condition for age!!!
This is one time when waiting for the "next one" will almost certainly LITERALLY take years, if not longer.

Why do I say it is extremely rare?
The Pope Manufacturing Company started making motorcycles in 1902, so same year as Indian and a year BEFORE Harley Davidson.
Like the two more famous makers they had their share of game-changing inventions, too.
As you probably already know Pope Motorcycles were the "Rolls Royce" of their time and cost as much as a Model-T Ford!!! As a result they are now some of the rarest, most desirable, most collectible & most expensive motorcycles in the world.
There are multiple cases where individual Pope Motorcycle have sold at auction for OVER 0,000 including several in the last year or two. I have even seen "Parts only" Pope Motorcycles listed in the ,000+ range!!!
